He is a member of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, vice-president of the Samurai tennis club, and recently the founder of the EU-Japan Entrepreneur Association. He has also established Sister-City and Sister school relationships between Hoya, Japan and Brighton, Australia.

He also traveled the globe in search of the best franchise chain business, from sushi and salad-bar chains to donuts and pizza franchise chains.
JD started as an entrepreneur at the "mature" age of 8. He sold paintings for 1cent to 5cents, sold ice for 50 cents on the roadside as a kid (costs = 0 as he froze water in his parents fridge).
As a young teen, JD was always creating and selling his unique handmade games, and was the No.1 pie salesman at the famous MCG footy ground.
